A common hobby found throughout the Sandhills is being an equestrian — owning and caring for your own horse. Twelve-year-old Jenna Taylor happily became a horse owner after years of riding lessons when she was given Leo, an appaloosa gelding. Even though temperatures were near freezing, with a bitter wind chill, Jenna spends her Friday with her best friend, her horse.
